Energy Assessments

Reduce your energy costs and upgrade your home or office by allowing E3 Innovate, LLC (E3) energy rating services to detect inefficiencies in your building. E3 uses a team of trained and certified professionals to systematically inspect and analyze the energy systems of your building based on a standardized scale. The resulting rating is a structured assessment of the energy efficiency of the building which also recommends cost-effective measures to make the structure more energy efficient.

E3 Innovate, LLC also provides two energy audit options:
I. Basic Energy Inspection
  • Record utility* rates
  • Record utility consumption
  • Insulation and air infiltration
  • Windows and doors
  • Basement and crawlspace
  • Moisture
  • Landscaping
  • Lighting systems
  • Heating and Cooling Systems
  • Hot water system
  • Structural integrity
  • A basic report with improvement suggestions will be provided
*Electricity, gas, and water
II. Comprehensive Energy Audit
  • More detailed assessment of the above Basic Review items
  • Appliance evaluation
  • Water conservation
  • Inhabitant energy usage habits
  • Blower Door Test
  • Duct Blaster Test
  • Home Energy Rating Services (HERS) software modeling
  • Detailed report including HERS modeling results, payback and ROI calculations for suggested improvements

Yard Stick Temperature
Blower Door Test

The blower door is a powerful fan that mounts into the frame of an exterior door. The fan pulls air out of the house, lowering the air pressure inside. The higher outside air pressure then flows in through all unsealed cracks and openings. These tests determine the air infiltration rate of a building.

Duct Blaster Test
House Leaks

A duct blaster test combines a small fan and a pressure gauge to pressurize a home’s duct system and accurately measure air leakage of the duct work. Duct leakage can increase heating and cooling costs over 30% and contribute to comfort, health, and safety problems.

Faults/Conditions We Look For
  • Building envelope gaps
  • Insulation Faults
  • Air Leaks
  • Humid Walls – Condensation
  • Underfloor Heating Systems
  • Water ingress on terraces
  • Leaky valves on radiators
  • Location of water leaks
  • Location of timber studs
  • Water infiltration
  • Damaged double glazing
  • And more...
